SOB Alliance round up
BizzyBlog
AP Story: "Deep Cuts" (Which Aren’t) Are a "Threat" to the Economy -- Apparently, switching from insane acceleration to slightly-less-insane acceleration is the same thing as slamming on the brakes and shifting into reverse. Remind me never to hitch a ride with an AP reporter.
Latest PJ Media Column ("Could Ohio Become a Right-to-Work State?") Is Up -- Someday, before we all die, Ohio employees might possibly be permitted to work without being forced into a union. Maybe. If we're lucky.
Weapons of Mass Discussion
COAST Chooses Vendetta over Its Own Principles -- The Coalition Opposed to Additional Spending and Taxes wants to unseat Representative Jean Schmidt (OH-02) in the Republican primary next year, but its backing of Brad Wenstrup has some ugly implications involving taxpayer funding of abortion.
Third Base Politics
Sherrod Stands for Bigger Government -- This isn't news to anyone who's been paying attention for any three-month period since 2006, but it's a useful reminder about Ohio's senior Senator.
Ohio liberals blame would-be NYC bomber on...SB5? -- Members of the Loony Left Reality-Based Community explain how the latest attempt to reform government employee unions pushed people to build pipe bombs and plot attacks on returning U.S. troops. Or something.
Thurber's Thoughts
The figures don't lie - an economic case for Right-To-Work in Ohio -- Maybe so, Maggie, but do the figures account for the magic "union reform causes terrorism" effect?
"If a tree falls in the forest" - the political/racial equivalent or why the left hates black conservatives -- Leave the leftist plantation, suffer a high-tech lynching.
Brain Shavings
Occupy Wall Street vs. the Tea Party, visualized -- So simple, even an AP reporter can understand the concept. Ah, who am I kidding? AP reporters react to facts and logic like vampires react to garlic and crucifixes.

SOB Alliance 2.0
If you are a conservative blogger based in Ohio and are interested in joining a group of like-minded individuals, now is the time to jump on board!
If you received an e-newsletter from me earlier today, just reply to it and let me know that you are in! If you didn't, please send me an email ( wmdtvmatt - at - yahoo - dot - com ) stating your intention to join."
I'm looking to put together another blogroll widget...and hoping to secure us either an email listserver or some other "private space where we can chat, strategerize, and promote our work amongst ourselves...
Any other ideas are also welcome...

SOB Alliance on Twitter
Want to follow the tweeting habits of Ohio's best conservative bloggers? Your wish is my command. The SOB Alliance is on Twitter. It's a stream-of-consciousness that swings from serious to absurd to sentimental to mundane and back again.
If you don't know what a Twitter List is, go learn. Not sure what Twitter is? No problem.
If you have a Twitter account that I missed, please let me know and I'll add it to the list.

RIP: Cornell McCleary
State of Ohio blogger Alliance member Cornell McCleary passed away yesterday. He was 55.
Cornell was known as a talk radio host in Columbus and a local community activist. He also hosted an internet radio show on TIB Radio that was named after his blog: American-Experience.
Over the few short years that I knew Cornell, we exchanged many emails, but I will never forget when he came down to Cincinnati for a meeting of Alliance folks who were interviewing some candidates. His description of one aspiring politico's position on an issue was rather colorful and to this day TIB Radio people use it to describe someone who is making stuff up to get through a question when he or she really has no idea what to say.
Cornell championed all the causes that he believed in and he will be greatly missed by the blogging community in Ohio and beyond.
Godspeed...
