JK Galbraith

Steve – thanks for the piece. My summary:

"Though most of his economic theories have been shown to be drivel, unlike Keynes, he could write well and entertainingly. The notion of Prof Galbraith – a witty, entertaining, and influential economist – is delightfully out of tune with the world’s expectations for economists. Even if most of his policy prescriptions consisted of telling bureaucrats and government officials what they wanted to hear – raise taxes, increase regulation, capitalism evil, etc."

Remainder, along with links to various articles and obituaries, here. I'd certainly recommend the NRO piece.
