Nobody Supports TEL But Blackwell?

From the Columbus Dispatch:
Sen. Gary Cates, R-West Chester, said he had Petro’s plan drafted into legislation just in case, although the bill has not been introduced.

"There is so much animosity toward Blackwell’s TEL right now, we’re going to have to look at an option to defeat it," he said. "I haven’t run into anybody who supports the TEL, other than Ken Blackwell."
Gary Cates (R-West Chester), meet Matt Hurley.

I support TEL. Why? This state needs to reduce the burden on the business climate. One of the ways to do that is to reduce taxes. In order to reduce taxes, our state and local governments are going to have to reduce spending in the short term until the tax base increases due to the tax cuts.

That's the Reader's Digest version, but that's it in a nutshell. The people who are against TEL seem to be people who wants to spend spend spend like money grows on trees or something.
