Re: Black Turnout

While I am confident that Ken Blackwell will be able to get a respectable black vote count in the general, I wouldn't count on too many votes in the primary -- history just weighs too heavily against it.

I would agree with that assessment. However, whomever is behind the Radio One ads (ask for the Ken Blackwell ballot) is playing smart on this one. May not be the deciding factor, but probably a smart move nonetheless. Also, add the fact that Blackwell has been featured in dozens of articles alongside Lynn Swann and Mr. Steele out East, and that certainly helps raise his GQ in this area.

Great point about the Radio One ads -- Mr. Blackwell will compete. This should be a fascinating general election.
