It's the feds...

they are prohibited from posting results until 9:30pm, because of the Fed holding the polls open.

I doubt it will make any difference, but I believe this judge was clearly in the wrong to set a different closing time for one area than another. Missouri set this precendent in 2000 and it did affect that out come.

Due to a Federal Court decision to keep the polls in Cuyahoga County open until 9:00 p.m., the Franklin County Board of Elections is prohibited from posting results until 9:30 p.m.


Judges shouldn't be involved in elections in any way shape or form on voting day. The polls are open until 730 and the chips should fall where they lay.

Maybe if we get a Real Republican in office for Ohio, he submit a Constitutional Amendent.

It just means we won't have to wait for results to trickle in.

By 930 they should be able to just post the results of school levies and such.
