Voinovich as Peter Pan

James Taranto of Opinion Journal.com's Best of the Web Today (sorry, not sure how to link) also took note of Sen. George Voinovich's use of "the children" to defend his vote for taxation without respiration:

Although there's no report of Voinovich blubbering this time around, a year ago he similarly blamed "my kids and my grandchildren" for his opposition to John Bolton's confirmation as U.N. ambassador. Voinovich will be 70 years old next month; isn't it about time he learned to take responsibility for his own actions?

Hey, maybe I should try that excuse?

Mr. IRS man, don't tax me in my heavenly crib -- I was savin' that money for my children.
