This Just In... Pres. Bush's First Veto!

Pres. Bush, as promised, has vetoed federal funding for the destruction of human life via embryonic stem-cell research.

Good job, Mr. President!

Well there's a little bit of a Bronx Cheer. :)

Reid is already working Frist to overturn the veto, but Boehner says the House will sustain it.

The override vote will go to the House first, since that's where the bill originated. They're about 50 votes short of an override in the House, so after that vote fails it'll never go back to the Senate.

If Reid really is working to overturn it, he's a moron.

And you enjoy watching your family members with genetic defects suffer? Or maybe what you and the President really have in common is a pure-disease free geneology line. I love this blog!

Elisabeth's Mom: I am very sorry for your child's problems, but I'm going to have to go ahead and give you a little wake up call.

THERE IS NO BAN ON EMBRYONIC STEM CELL RESEARCH.

There isn't. What the President vetoed was federal funding for additional research. This President was the first president to allow ANY federal funding for embyonic stem cell funding.

Please try to get past your hatred and grief and see the world as it really is.
