First Newspaper Endorsement Goes to Montgomery

This just in from the Montgomery campaign:
Today, Republican nominee for Ohio Attorney General Betty Montgomery was endorsed by the Dayton Daily News. This is the first newspaper endorsement that has been given in the race for Attorney General.
Dayton Daily News editors pointed to Montgomery's superior experience and knowledge as making her the better candidate for the position.
"...experience is the decisive factor in this race, and Ms. Montgomery, 58, has more than state Sen. Marc Dann, D-Warren. She has headed two different major public offices, hiring mostly capable people. She is well liked by career public servants, and is especially recognized for her work with law enforcement when she was previously attorney general."

While acknowledging Montgomery's history of public service, Dayton Daily News editors expressed concern that Sen. Dann doesn't have the experience necessary to run this important office.
"What's unclear, though, is whether, without more seasoning, Mr. Dann has the depth of experience that would enable him to manage a legal enterprise as complicated as the state attorney general's office. The leap is just too large."

Montgomery was pleased to receive this significant endorsement. "I am honored that the editors at the Dayton Daily News have responded to my record, my ideas for the future and my ability to once again serve this great state as Attorney General," she said.

In addition to this noteworthy endorsement, Montgomery enjoys the support of the Ohio Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), the Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association (CPPA), the Toledo Police Patrolman's Association (TPPA), the Ohio State Troopers, the Ohio Civil Service Employees Association (OCSEA), the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Chapter of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).

Marc Dann has to be a HORRIBLE candidate if the Dayton Daily DEMOCRAT is endorsing a Republican...
